When you have invested lots of time and money into your business you do not want a burglary to occur.
Below are some tips to protect your business:
Identify areas that may be vulnerable to forced entry and make them more secure.
Make sure that any service doors are locked and secure when not in use.
Make sure that you have a monitored alarm system that is fully functioning. If you need any assistance with this PHX Security can help.
Make sure that your CCTV is in full working order and that it produces good quality images day and night.
Make sure that wheelie bins are stored away from your premises as these can be used to climb on to gain access to first floor windows.
Have sufficient lighting around your premise and lighting on motion sensors.
Try to remove high value goods from window displays at night.
Keep all foliage pruned as these provide great hiding places for people who don't want to be seen.
Doors and windows are particularly vulnerable, consider installing shutters or attack-resistant glass.
Bollards are also useful to protect the frontage of your premise from a ram raid.
Remove cash from site overnight.
Smoke-generating devices are a great way of disorientating a burglar as these activate on unauthorised entry creating a smokescreen.
Do not leave keys in the premises overnight and ensure only designated staff have access. In case of emergency make sure your alarm company has an up to date list of keyholders who can be contacted. Or, consider using a professional keyholding and response company who will act as emergency keyholders should your alarm system activate.
PHX Security are Security Industry Authority Approved Contractors for Keyholding and Security Guarding and are happy to offer a free security review of your premises.
